Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Krew! By booking services with Kukamanga Krew, you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies ensure a safe, professional, and reliable experience for our team, your home, and most importantly, your pets.

Terms & Conditions 

1. Service Requirements & Safety

  • Vaccinations: All pets must be up-to-date on Rabies and other state-mandated vaccinations. Proof of vaccination may be requested at any time.

  • Behavior: The Client must disclose any history of aggression, biting, or excessive pulling. For the safety of our staff and the community, we reserve the right to terminate services if a pet poses a danger.

  • Equipment: The Client agrees to provide a secure, well-fitted harness or collar and a sturdy leash for all outings.

 

2. Cancellations & Modifications

To maintain a consistent schedule for our "Krew," we adhere to the following:

  • Standard Visits: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a full credit toward future services.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate of the scheduled visit.

  • Overnight/Bespoke Packages: Due to the high demand for extended care, a 7-day notice is required for cancellations of overnight stays to receive a refund or credit.

 

3. Billing & Payment

  • Invoicing: All services are billed in advance or at the time of booking via our secure payment portal.

  • Memberships: Monthly packages are billed on the 1st of each month. Unused visits do not roll over to the following month but may be gifted or rescheduled within the same billing cycle if 24-hour notice is provided.

 

4. Liability & Medical Emergencies

  • Veterinary Care: In the event of a medical emergency, Kukamanga Krew will attempt to contact the Client immediately. If the Client is unreachable, we are authorized to seek care at the designated veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital. The Client assumes all financial responsibility for veterinary costs.

  • Liability Waiver: While we exercise the utmost care, Kukamanga Krew is not responsible for injury, illness, or loss of a pet that results from pre-existing health conditions or natural causes.

  • Home Security: We are not liable for damage to the home caused by the pet (e.g., chewing, accidents) or for any loss/damage to the property unless caused by the gross negligence of our staff.

 

5. Inclement Weather

The safety of your pet is our priority. In the event of extreme heat (common in Wilmington summers), tropical storms, or heavy lightning, "Adventure Hikes" may be shortened or converted to indoor enrichment and potty breaks at our professional discretion to prevent heatstroke or injury.

 

6. Key & Access Policy

  • The Client agrees to provide a secure method of entry (key, lockbox, or keypad code).

  • If we are unable to access the home due to a faulty key, changed code, or locked deadbolt, the visit will be charged at the full rate.
